We can expect the pace of change in digital technologies to increase in the years ahead, and for the impacts of these advances to be felt widely across the economy, society and government. Understanding these shifts can also help policy makers, business leaders, and workers anticipate and prepare for the future of work.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES

Gain a broad understanding of key emerging digital technologies, their potential applications in business and government, and the attendant policy implications;

Anticipate how the operating environment might change as a result of digital disruptions, and reflect on the policy or regulatory responses that might be required of them; and

Acquire a sound understanding of the various roles of the state in dealing with digital disruptions, and the policy options corresponding to each of these roles.
